Not too thin, not too thick. Not too long, and definitely not too short. No bagging behind the waist, suitable for a small bust. Perhaps I’m a little (read: a lot) picky – but I want to find one that not only ticks off these boxes but is also versatile enough to wear for years to come. Oh, and it has to be black.
In all seriousness though – I love a good tale that involves a bit of scandal, a little bit of romance, and a lot of intrigue. Du Maurier’s books have it all, and they’re all told in this eerily captivating way that will have you on the edge of your seat from page one to the very end.
As someone who is a complete and utter hopeless romantic, I find that whilst the physical is a big aspect of relationships for me, that’s not what I’m craving most. It’s the emotional intimacy, being able to know someone and how they think, inside and out.
Something about the stars in the late evening, chasing away the sun, is my idea of freedom. It’s where the day washes away, and you can reinvent yourself should you choose. Or, if you prefer, you can stay the same.
